As a Java Developer (Advanced), you will join the development team working on API-driven domain services that form the backbone of the client’s new digital platform.

You’ll contribute to the design, development, and implementation of backend services that enable seamless integrations and support key business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs for system integrations.
• Work with Apache Kafka to implement asynchronous event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and product owners to deliver robust services.
• Apply clean code practices, write maintainable code, and participate in peer reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, DevOps, and automation initiatives.

Eisen:

Proven experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.

Hands-on knowledge of GraphQL, Apache Kafka, REST/SOAP services, and asynchronous integration patterns.

Familiarity with PostgreSQL, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes.

Experience with AWS (EKS, SQS, S3) is a plus.

Fluent in English and French or Dutch.

Belgian citizenship and residence in Belgium required.

Willing to work onsite 2 days per week (hybrid setup).
