Functieomschrijving:

Support the Portfolio Owner for Platform Engineering in designing and implementing platform architecture.

Ensure platform solutions meet requirements for scalability, reliability and security.

Automate infrastructure management processes and improve operational efficiency.

Provide developers with self-service tools and workflows through a centrally managed technology platform.

Build and maintain Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).

Collaborate closely with software development and infrastructure teams.

Identify, troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.

Implement improvements to enhance platform performance, stability and scalability.

Contribute to modern software delivery practices and platform engineering initiatives. 

Eisen:

Must live in the Netherlands.

Must be eligible for AIVD security screening.

Experience writing Infrastructure-as-Code (preferably Terraform).

Mastery of at least one programming language (e.g. Go or Python).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and take decisions when required.

Good communication skills towards both customers and team members.

Ability to create, read and maintain technical documentation. 

Wensen:

Knowledge and experience with GitOps.

Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).

Experience with OpenTelemetry.

Knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.

Experience managing private cloud platforms.

Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.

Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.

Experience setting up pipelines as code (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).

Experience working closely with application teams.

Familiarity with development tools such as Gradle, .NET and npm.
