Functieomschrijving:

As an L3 Support Engineer, you will act as the highest technical escalation point within the operational support organization. You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing a large-scale VMware-based private cloud environment.

Your responsibilities include supporting L1 and L2 teams, resolving complex incidents and problems, preparing and executing standard and non-standard changes, participating in CAB activities, and managing lifecycle activities such as software, firmware, and patch upgrades.

You will also contribute to vulnerability remediation, monthly patching activities, technical documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the team. The role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a highly available and mission-critical environment.

Eisen:

  • Must live in the Netherlands
  • Fluent Dutch (spoken, written, and reading)
  • Eligible to pass Dutch National Police screening
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an L3 Engineer in a large VMware/Dell private cloud environment with HA and DR
  • VMware VCP certification (vSphere 8.x and/or VCF9)
  • Experience working in large VMware environments (10+ vCenters and 500+ physical servers)
  • Experience with vSAN
  • Experience with vSAN Ready Nodes and VxRail
  • Knowledge of IaaS and PaaS services
  • Knowledge of either Windows Server or Red Hat Linux
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours when required

Wensen:

  • VMware VCAP certification
  • Experience with VMware vRealize Automation and Orchestration (vRA/vRO 7 and/or 8)
  • Experience with NSX-V or NSX-T
  • Experience with Ansible Tower
  • Experience with Confluence and GitLab
  • Experience with VXBlock
  • Experience with Dell OpenManage
  • Experience with VMware vROps and Log Insight
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Experience taking a leading role in technical initiatives and knowledge sharing
